How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38).

There’re those who believe God in His fierce anger against those who are not saved brings painful experiences such as poverty and sickness on them as judgment. But that’s not what the Bible shows. Our opening scripture didn’t say ‘’How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of God…’’ Rather, it says he ‘’…went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil…’’ God’s nature is goodness and love. He never made anybody sick, broken, or afflicted; rather, He always seeks to heal, save, and bless.

Afflictions are the devil’s tool, and our heavenly Father wouldn’t use such vices to teach or correct anybody. He uses the Word instead. Hurtful and painful experiences are the devil’s orchestration; he afflict men with sickness and pains, most times, to distract them from receiving the Gospel: ‘’In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them’’ (2 Corinthians 4:4). This doesn’t necessary mean the devil is responsible for all sicknesses, but he is the remote cause.

But thanks be unto God. Who always works out the means for men to be saved. Titus 2:11 says, ‘’For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.’’ That grace is infinite. The salvation of man is God’s idea; that’s why we sent Jesus to be the Captain of our salvation and propitiation for our sins. God’s desire is to have all men saved. He has special angels assigned for this task; to take advantage of any situation, even those orchestrated by Satan, and guide men everywhere into situations where they can receive the Gospel. Hebrews 1:14 alludes to this: ‘’Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?’’

Many have received salvation in very difficult circumstances; because of angelic activities and the divine orchestration of the Lord ‘’Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth’’ (1 Timothy 2:4).

Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for your love and great grace manifested in Christ Jesus. I pray for the lost and oppressed today, that you’ll send labourers across their paths who’ll communicate the truth of the Gospel to them, and that the eye of their understanding be enlightened so they can see the truth of God’s Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Money Seeds Friday, April 13th

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap (Galatians 6:7).

In Hebrew 11:6 the Bible underlines for us the importance and indispensability of faith in our walk with God. It says, ‘’But without faith it is impossible to please him…’’ To function in financial prosperity therefore, you must learn to put your faith to work by acting on the Word.

For instance, the Bible says as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest shall not cease (Genesis 8:22). Seedtime is a time of action; a time for sowing seed. When you sow your seed, you’re guaranteed a harvest; and the best part of it is that your harvest can be anytime; you can call it forth when ever you want! But if you don’t sow your seed when you’re suppose to, there’ll be nothing to harvest, notwithstanding that you have faith.

From our opening scripture, it’s clear that what you sow is what you reap, Galatians 6:9-10 says, ‘’And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.’’ This means if you only sow seeds of good works, you’ll reap a harvest of good; people will do good things for you and help you. Likewise, if you’re going to reap a financial harvest, you must sow money-seed.

Some people could have others help them in several ways, but hardly do they receive financial blessings. That’s because they probably never sowed financial seeds. Until they begin to sow financial seed, they can’t reap financial harvest.

Jesus said in Luke 21:3 that the widow who gave two mites gave more than the others who also gave; not because she gave all she had, but because those two mites meant all to her. So in sowing financial seeds, you give to God that which has value to you from your heart; even if it’s the last or all that you have. Let it be a seed that your heart connect with; that’s what gets a response.

Prayer

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that has given me light as to how to sow financial seeds for a financial harvest. I walk in the light of this truth today; I declare that my financial seeds are sanctified by the Holy Spirit, making them acceptable to you, and I receive a multiplied harvest of blessings, in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Don’t Settle For Less! Thursday, April 12th

For he who has once entered [God’s] rest also has created from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own (Hebrews 4:10 AMP).

When you study the account of creation in Genesis Chapter one, you’ll observe that man is the crown of God’s creation. God created man on the sixth day, in His own image and likeness, after He had created every thing else. Satisfied and joyful, The Bible says He rested from all His works on the seventh day: ‘’And on the seventh day God ended his work which he has made; and he rested…’’ (Genesis 2:2).

When God was done creating man, everything was ready. Man’s first day in the earth was on the seventh day; God’s day of rest. Adam woke up to God, resting; He had finished all the work of creating the universe; there wasn’t anything for Adam to do except to appreciate God. This was God’s idea, purpose and intent for man all along. Man is supposed to function from a position of rest; free from struggles, anxieties, turmoil and hardships.

You were born into God’s rest; not into struggles, worry or stress. Those who don’t understand this truth live an unhappy, frustrated and bitter life. God made you for His pleasure, so be pleased and happy about you. No wonder He says in Mathew 11:28, ‘’Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.’’ This is an invitation to those who are still toiling, struggling and battling in life; enter into the Lord’s rest. He says ‘’Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and he shall find rest unto your souls’’ (Mathew 11:29).

This is the life to which you have been called; it’s a life of beauty, glory and grace! It’s an extraordinary life of success from a position of rest; embrace it, and don’t settle for less.

Prayer

Dear father, I thank you for showing me your intent and purpose for my life as expressed in the scriptures. Thank you for creating me for your pleasure, making provisions for me to live a glorious and extraordinary life of victory from a position of rest! I function today with joy, knowing that my future is secure in you; in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Take Possession From Within Wednesday, April. 11th

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith (Romans 4:13).

Back then, when we just started learning the things of the Spirit and the message of faith, whenever we arrived any town or city for a crusade, we’ll pray, declaring, ‘’we’ve trod this place; therefore it belongs to us!’’ We were mindful of God’s admonition to Joshua: ‘’Every place that the soul of your feet shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses’’ (Joshua 1:3). But that was in the Old Testament; the New Testament revelation was different. From where we are, we can take possession from our spirits through words.

You can speak anointed words of faith over cities, towns and nations where cruelty, wickedness, evil, violence, and hatred abound, and make such places a habitation of angels. This is because as one who is born again, your spirit has the capacity to encompass the world; the Lord as set eternity in your heart (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Therefore, there’s no limit to what you can possess from within.

The story of Abraham in Genesis 13:14-15 is an example. The Lord said to him, ‘’…lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.’’ Notice the Bible didn’t say ‘’Abraham marched round the whole world before he took possession,’’ no! The Bible shows us how he encompass the vast lands and sees-the whole world-from his spirit: ‘’Who against hope believes in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be’’ (Romans 4:18).

In that same way, you can take possession of cities, nations, and even the whole world from your spirit, irrespective of your geographical location. There’re no limits to what your spirit can envision and possess. From where you are, you can speak words of faith and effect changes in the spirit-realm concerning any town, city or nation you want for Christ. You can do the same in your family, job and business.

Prayer

Dear father, I thank you for setting eternity in my heart, such that there is no limit to what I can influence. Right now, I declare that your Word is prevailing and taking centre stage in my country; and that men and women are being delivered and translated into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

‘’Saved In Childbearing!’’ Tuesday, April 10th

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety (1 Timothy 2:15).

The above verse of scripture is not talking about salvation with regard to being born again. The word translated ‘’saved’’ is from the Greek ‘’sozo’’; an all inclusive word, which means to save, deliver, protect or be preserved. Thus, the Christian woman at childbirth is going to be helped, delivered, saved and preserved from the pangs, trauma and complications associated with childbearing. You might want to ask, ‘’What about the curse on the woman in Genesis 3 3:16?’’ I’ll explain, but first let’s read it: ‘’…I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children…’’

Genesis 3 tells us how Adam disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden; he committed high treason and lost his dominion over Satan. Then God cursed the ground for Adam’s sake, and made the pronouncement in Genesis 3:16 on Eve as a result of the betrayal. This ‘’curse’’ on Eve is the reason for ‘’labour,’’ when a woman is to give birth; it’s often characterized with varying degrees of complications, pain and hardship.

However, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, ‘’Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’’ So the woman who is born again is not under the curse anymore; therefore she shouldn’t go through complications and hard labour in childbirth. The redemptive and finished works of Christ on our behalf have made us free from every curse.

                                                       

The Christian is not under the curse; he’s the blessed of God. We were called to inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9). When Jesus was crucified, He was cursed on your behalf; He saved and redeemed you from the curse of the law: ‘’Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is any one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith’’ (Galatians 3:13-14). Therefore stand in the liberty and glory of what Christ has done for you.

Prayer

Dear Father, I thank you fro the blessing of the new creation that places me far above any curse. I know from your Word that I’ve been called to inherit a blessing. I pray for expectance mothers today, declaring that your Word is fulfilled in them as they deliver safely and easily, without complications, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

‘’Above All, Take On Your Shield Of Faith!’’ Monday, April 9th

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16).

With faith, there is no such things like ‘’I tried, but it didn’t work, so I gave up!’’ Faith never gives up. The phrase ‘’above all’’ as used in the opening verse puts faith at the forefront of the armour of God you’re to put on. Therefore, if there’s anything you shouldn’t give up, it’s your faith. Hebrews 11:6 states quite clearly, ‘’Without faith, it’s impossible to please God.’’

When your faith is tested and tried; stretched to its limits; you must remain undaunted and stand your ground in the Word. You must resist the devil and enforce your victory. Having done all that the Word says, you must stand firmly in your place of triumph because Christ Jesus has already won the victory for you. Proverbs 24:10 says, ‘’If thou faint on the day of adversity, thy strength is small.’’

Faith is what you require to quench or put out all the fiery darts directed at you by the forces of darkness. These missiles can’t be perceived with the physical eyes. Ephesians 6:12 (CEV) says ‘’We are not fighting against humans, We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world.’’ Unbelief, discouragement, depression, fear and pain are examples of such spiritual forces that attack people; give them no place in your life.

Perhaps you woke up one day with a sharp pain on your body; don’t just fold your arm and keep quiet, hoping the pain will go away. Take out your shield of faith! Express your faith in words and actions; rebuke the pain and refuse to let it dictate your behaviour. Use your faith-inspired confessions to disassemble all the fiery missiles of the adversary, and remain standing! Isaiah 54:17 says, no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper; therefore refuse to fear or intimidated by anything!

Prayer

Dear Father, your Word in my spirit is growing mightily, building my faith strong and gaining the supremacy in my life! I boldly resist and nullify every contrary work or opposition from the enemy today, standing my grounds in the victory Christ obtained for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
