Pastor Chris
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower. And bread to the eater (Isaiah 55:10).
The verse above reveals an important principle in the kingdom of God; the principle of sowing and reaping. Notice that ‘’seed to the sower’’ comes first before ‘’bread to the eater.’’ That means you sow before you eat. When you get your produce or income, pay your tithe first, and then set aside the best seeds for sowing, and you’ll reap an extraordinary harvest.
First, He gave Abraham a son, Isaac, then on a certain day, He instructed Abraham to go offer Isaac as a burnt offering (Genesis 22:1-2). Abraham proceeded to offer his only son to God. The Bible says he did this, ‘’Accounting that God was able to raise him (Isaac) up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure’’ (Hebrews 11:19). This shows that Abraham believed in the seed principle; he knew that the seed had to die to produce a harvest.
Jesus alluded to this in John 12:24, where He said, ‘’Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.’’ In other words, except you sow your seed, you have no basis to expect a harvest. Even God’s entire plan of salvation hinges around this same seed principle. He gave his son, Jesus, so He could reap the harvest of many sons (Hebrews 2:10). Jesus was the seed, while we are the harvest!
You can’t reap without sowing; this is the seed principle of the kingdom. Depending on the kind of harvest you want to reap, sow your seed according to the Word, and the Lord will multiple your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.
Prayer
Dear Father, I’m so glad to be partaker of your glorious wisdom! Your Word has shown me the way to live in abundance through the seed-principle of faith. I thank you for the results I get from putting this principle to work in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
