Lie not to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds: And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him (Colossians 3:9-10).
Many are stagnant in life because they have the wrong mindset; their minds are not renewed with the Word of God. The life to which we’ve been called in Christ is one of continual victory, and glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ through the Word. Romans 12:2 says, ‘’And be not confirmed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…’’
Meditation on the Word helps you build a spiritual and mental attitude that’s consistent with God’s will and purpose for the new creation in Christ. It’s a process where by you exchange your thoughts of weakness, sickness, poverty, fear and death for thoughts of victory, health, prosperity and success. Joshua 1:8 reveals it as the infallible recipe for building a successful and victorious life: ‘’This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.’’
First, notice it says, to ‘’meditate day and night.’’ That means the effectiveness of this practice is tired to its consistency. You have to keep the Word in your heart and in your mouth day and night for it to produce in you the mindset of victory, success and advantage. You have to keep pondering, muttering and shouting the Word.
It’s important that every now and then, you find a conducive place, where you can shout you mind down, and talk your spirit up with the Word! Do this consistently, and you’d have a renewed mindset; you’ll begin to talk differently, and others will notice that there’s something unique about you. The Word of God on your lips will programme you for a life of consistent success, energize you for victory, and give you the mindset of the righteous.
Confession
My spirit is energized for victory as I meditate on the Word of God today; I’m positioned for the transcendent life; I walk in joy, peace, prosperity, health and victory today, in Jesus’ Name.
