Pastor Chris
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).
At the beginning of the year, the Lord gave us a theme of the year. He said ‘’2012 is the year of the word of God.’’ This means it’s a special year of experiencing the dominion and lordship of the Word of God in your life like never before. You will literally relate with Him-the word-as a person and have the word manifested through you, for you and in you. This will be your experience as you yield to the Lordship of the Word, and let the Word take centre stage in your life. This will cause you to walk in blessing, miracles, signs and wonders.
There’re certain fundamental you must take into consideration to function in a level where the Word of God is Lord over everything that concerns you. First, you’re got to know the word and let it guide your thoughts, words and all that you do. One way to ensure this is to take your fellowship with the Word seriously-your personal times of study, and fellowship with other believers at your local assemble-where you’re taught God’s Word.
Secondly, you must meditate on, and digest the word into your spirit; keep it in your heart and in your mouth. Through meditation, the Word mingles with your spirit, causing you to become the expression of what it says.
The great benefits of conscious and continues meditation on the Word are outlined for us in Joshua 1:8: ‘’This book of law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make your way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.’’
Through meditation you bring yourself under the influence and Lordship of the Word. The Word on your lips is the sword of the spirit with which you prevail against the enemy, effect changes and frame your world.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for blessing me with your Word and for the glorious life you’ve given me in Christ! I’m glad to have Jesus as the Lord of my life and be controlled and ruled by the Word, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
